A change this week - a Tuesday explosion and 180v for an hour or so which really messes with electrical appliances that need 230v. Thanks, PEA!

August has seen power outages for 1 week out of 4, or 26% of days for the month (43% if late July is included when it went off every day).

Mains water off again last night.

Luckily, we don't have to rely on them for air else we would have all asphyxiated by now.

We're back to daily power outages again now with all this wind playing havoc with their ancient cables.

For the first time in about half a year, it has stopped raining and I can charge the solar batteries again!

We've just been notified that the power will be out between 08.30 and 15.00 on Jan. 20.

It hasn't actually been that bad so far this year.

The power is constantly browning out and spiking throughout the day - but we haven't had many of those 2 hour outages for a while.

I don't suppose the early rain has helped.

Think we broke the record today - 3 power outages in less than 24 hours, one in the middle of the night.

Must be power cut season, two days in a row, two outages, same transformer exploding.

It's now 5 months since your last reported power outage. Does that mean the last transformer fix resolved the problem, or you just got fed up with reporting constant outages. You've certainly been getting the weather synonymous with power outages.

No, the thing explodes at least once a week, just got tired of posting about it.

Additionally, the constant rain has rendered any solar power backups useless, we cant charge the batteries.

Big winds playing havoc with the creaky cables strung up around here - power and internet off daily now.
