New Visitor info - Ban Krut
Hi, staying in Hua Hin and fancy travelling down to Ban Krut for a few days. Will arrive on the train. is it possible to find a nice guest house/small hotel which are within walking distance of the station, village and beach?? Dont want to be isolated on the beach with no options for eating and drinking. Enjoy the beach but also enjoy visiting different restaurants, bars etc. Older couple so not looking for any where too loud. Cheers
Re: New Visitor inifo
Hi Rone,
Ban Krut is sure a lot more relaxed, then the hectic from Hua Hin.
It is about 1 km from the railway station to the beach.
At the station are normaly a few sidecar-motorcycle taxi's waiting if you decide not to walk.
As soon as you reach the beach, there is a junction and at the right is Siripong guesthouse.
Tel: 03269 5464 or 03269 5070.
Rooms are not expensive, my guess about 500 THB.
Within walking distance from this location are several restaurants and a few small bars.
Next to Siripong guesthouse is Suan Ban Krut Beach Resort, which rents small bungalows for less then 2000 THB per night.
About 400 meters to the left of this junction is Arcadia Beach resort. Here you can rent a very luxury room for about 2000 THB per night.

Re: New Visitor inifo
Hi - thanks for the info
As it will only be for about 3/4 nights we may spoil ourselves and look at the arcadia. Any idea if midweek peak season it is better to just arrive and negotiate a deal or book in advance with one of the booking agencies. The map is great just a bit difficult judging distance. If we stayed at the Arcadia are there restaurants/bars (other than hotels) within walking distance.
thanks again

You will get a better rate by booking online than a walk-in, you can get a decent rate here: http://bangsaphanguide.com.r24.asia/632 ... rt/cur=THB
Pretty much everything is within walking distance of the Arcadia, Ban Krut is a small place!

Re: New Visitor info - Ban Krut
Would like to have a look at BangSaphan town. Which is best way from Ban Krrut - is there a regular public bus, failing that would I be able to get a local driver to drop us off and pick us up later (cost?) Thanks
Re: New Visitor info - Ban Krut
There is no regular public transportation between Ban Krut and Bang Saphan.
There are several places where you can hire a local driver, for instance at "Ban Krut Tour and Travel" or the internetshop opposite.
And if you stay at Arcadia, I am sure that the reception can help you as well.
I have no idea about prices, but it cannot be expensive, because more farang are doing this service.
Best is to ask around.
Another suggestion: rent a bicycle or a motorcycle. The beach road from Ban Krut to Bang Saphan is amazing.
