Samui to Bang Krut, and accommodation

I was thinking of doing this trip from Samui, for a few days R&R on my scooter in Feb. Does anyone have an idea of how long this might take from Donsak? What are the roads like? Crazy lorry drivers? or fairly safe driving.

Might it be better to take the train, and simply hire a motorbike for getting about and sightseeing?

Recommendations on resorts? I was looking on the map at Arcadia, Suan Bang Krut, and Baan Klang Aow, but thought I would ask the guys on the ground for their thoughts.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the board, on a scooter from Samui I'd estimate a 5-6 hour ride from Donsak - the roads are good but yes, there will be lunatic lorry drivers!

Never actually stayed in any of these resorts but you can get more info and book them online here: http://bankrutinfo.com/bankrut-accommodation.php

buksida...Thank you.

Am in two minds whether to do bike or train. Checking out the different accommodation available at the moment, both in Bang Krut, and Bang Saphan Yai.

I can't hire such costly venue as my budget is too low. Please help me to know the cheap venue!
