Not sure where all the crap floating out of Pattaya is headed with the flooding they are experincing. Some locals rejoicing about all the garbage is getting washed out to sea. So considerate !!! wouldn't enter their tiny brains its going to finsh up on other beaches.
It is a shame when so much work and time is invested by a few, only for others to make a mockery of them.
I was walking along the beach when I came across a hole about 1m deep and 2m diameter being filled with garbage (see pics) such as plastic, tins, bottles, plaster, broken tiles etc. Obviously with the intentions of burying it. Looks like it will end up just below ground level.
This was well into the public beach area.
The location is at the end of the access road about 80m North of Daeng Bungalows where a house is being renovated.
Can somebody report this to the relevant authorities. I am new here and have no idea who to contact, however, it is annoying that some people have this mentality.
I am leaving shortly and hope it is cleaned up for the benefit of the majority.

Sadly there are no "authorities" in Thailand to manage/reprimand this sort of behaviour.
What is utterly astounding is that these people will spend millions on a beachfront property then proceed to trash the very thing that they've just paid to be on.
This rubbish pile is about 150m from the junction of the road running to the sea where it meets the Sabai Sabai road and it seems to get bigger everyday, there is waste food, empty wine cartons, used polystyrene trays and lots of sealed and unsealed rubbish bags, there is a strong smell and dogs have been opening the bags and some of the waste is getting blown across the road into the farmers land.
Whoever is treating this nice area as a rubbish tip is a disgrace and is a danger to the local community and farm animals.
Can anyone give me advice how this can be reported to the local council / government so it can be cleaned up.
If all else fails can anyone help me to clean it up, I know that it will be a dirty job but something has to be done about it.
Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
This kind of crap happens all too often here, you have a couple of options:
1) Contact the Pu Yai Baan for the area and inform him about it.
2) Report it to the 'Or Por Dor' building (halfway to town on the left).
3) Find out who owns the land and ask them to clear it.
4) Add some fuel and burn it.
5) Try to muster some volunteers and clean it up.
The first three options must be done by a Thai and will probably result in absolutely bugger all.
We're putting some of these up - hopefully the message will get through to the idiots that leave their filthy food cartons all over the beach every weekend:

Big storms last week bought in a world of trash, 12 heroes got to work on it today.
Would be nice if the beach front resort and restaurant owners helped out - after all they are profiting from and selling a clean beach to their customers.
