Early August for Snorkelling

Post by Big Boy » 28 Jun 2014 16:03

I've got a couple of visitors coming to visit in Hua Hin in August. One of the the things on their 'to do' list is snorkelling. I can think of worse places than Hua Hin to go snorkelling, but not many.

I've suggested that they have an early start, and I drive them down to Bang Saphan, where they can get on a boat to Koh Talu.

Now, I've read that at certain times of the year visibility becomes much reduced. Is early August likely to be one of those times, and would it be a wasted journey please?

All depends on weather at the time, if windy and raining, yes the viz will be bad and the boats wont go out.

OK, thanks - if it's still a must do for them, I'll ask nearer the time.
