Hi there, Sorry if this was covered in another forum. I promise I looked. Can anyone tell me where I go to register for trash removal service? I live near Suan Lauang.
I have tried to get assistance from some local people who have been very helpful with other projects, and settling in. Unfortunately, the trash issue seems elusive. I need to cowboy up and get it done myself or they may find me buried alive by it at week's end.
Any advice, maps to the door, etc... is much appreciated.
Cheers!

Trash Removal Service
Re: Trash Removal Service
This is a sore point in the area as the local tessabahn doesn't collect trash. Residents just dump it on the road around the govt (OBT) building in protest. The most popular method of disposal is burning it.
You may want to enquire in that building if there is a refuse wagon that comes to your soi, they speak no English though so a Thai will have to do it for you.

Excellent! So if I learn more Thai (with a trashy context) and find something called OTB I can make my first real inquiry. Well, that has to be faster than the people who keep promising to take me to sign up for service and then do not show up. Baby steps.
Thanks,

Re: Trash Removal Service
Mission accomplished!
All it took was my GPS to get me to a city building, a big happy attitude, my TOT bill with my address in Thai, 3 years of Thai language classes and a photograph of a full trash bag on my front patio to point at while I explained my needs.
Once I mimed my way through the entire situation 4 times, entertaining the whole building’s staff with a Tenglish comedy routine I went home to await my promised arrival of..? (Not really sure what I was promised in hindsight)
That is when my Thai friend stopped over and took me to the right building on the other side of town and we got it done.
You see, nothing to it!

so how is this trash collecting coming along?
Re: Trash Removal Service
I was out of town last week and this week is a holiday wash - so it's going smashingly well. I'll let you know next week if I have achieved garbage nirvana.
Re: Trash Removal Service
Well after several weeks I am stunned and amazed. My trash is picked up with great regulatory.
