Because you didn't ask for it...Ladies and Gentlemen of Bang Saphan, from New Hampshire USA --- The Shaggs:

Be sure and listen to the sample song clip in the article.
---
The conceptual beginning of The Shaggs came from Austin Wiggin, Jr.'s mother. During Austin's youth she had predicted during a palmreading that he would marry a strawberry blonde woman, that he would have two sons after she had died, and that his daughters would form a popular music group. The first two predictions proved accurate, so Austin set about making the third come true as well.
...
On the topic of the album, Cub Koda wrote, "There's an innocence to these songs and their performances that's both charming and unsettling. Hacked-at drumbeats, whacked-around chords, songs that seem to have little or no meter to them ... being played on out-of-tune, pawn-shop-quality guitars all converge, creating dissonance and beauty, chaos and tranquility, causing any listener coming to this music to rearrange any pre-existing notions about the relationships between talent, originality, and ability. There is no album you might own that sounds remotely like this one."

...

Reportedly, during the recording sessions the band would occasionally stop playing, claiming one of them had made a mistake and that they needed to start over, leaving the sound engineers to wonder how the girls could tell when a mistake had been made.

Maybe it's a case of "they're so bad that they're good". They go waaay beyond badness, crashing straight through it's rear wall, and into something else completely...the drummer is playing another song, frequently off the beat, and those swarming out of tune guitars with the bargain basement amps, chop, chop, chop they go, to reinforce these innocent baby-girl lyrics about lost cats...It's the old 1 million monkeys on 1 million typewriters writing Shakespeare (or in this case William Burroughs).

Anyway, glad you took notice. Thanks for reading (even though it's your job as Moderator)
The full album is available online, er, 'from the usual sources'.

Understood. It's pretty rough stuff. And it's caused permanent alterations in the brain waves of lab rats.

The bodysnatchers of Bangkok: Thailand's volunteer emergency service

Unlike the UK or US, Thailand operates on a two-tier emergency support system, sending out volunteers, or 'basic teams', to accident or crime scenes first, and only then an advanced life-support ambulance if needed. These 'basic teams' provide a vital service and account for about 60% of the emergency cases Bangkok's hospitals see every year. Most Thais believe that helping others – be it the injured or dead – allows one to earn karmic merit. Here we spend the night with a Noppadon, one of Bangkok's many volunteer body-collectors - also known as bodysnatchers

Thailand's lower house of parliament has passed a political amnesty bill that critics say could allow the return of former PM Thaksin Shinawatra.

The amnesty applies to offences committed during the political turmoil after Mr Thaksin was ousted in a coup.

The lower house passed the controversial bill in the early hours of Friday. It now goes to the Senate.

The opposition Democrat Party has warned that the passage of the bill will trigger street protests.

It did not take part in the vote, but the bill passed by 310 votes to 0.

The bill's passage through the Senate is less certain, reports the BBC South East Asia correspondent Jonathan Head, as half its members are appointed.

But this could happen as early as next week and would almost certainly provoke further protests.

Advocates of the bill say it will draw a line under the political turmoil that resulted from the military coup in 2006 that removed Mr Thaksin from power, leaving Thailand bitterly divided.

It may be slow moving but momentum is building for confrontation again on the streets of Bangkok, its inevitable and
of course the army's attitude will be vital. A marked difference now is the number of young Thais who are getting pro active. Before the PAD,so called yellow shirt movement, mainly consisted of older folk who were angry the way there country was imploding. In the last few months the mostly missing PM has been wooing the generals preparing for such a day. I'm usually totally against assassinations but in Khun Thaksin's case I could be persuaded to make an exception.

I heard that there's a gun that takes suppositories for ammunition, rather than bullets. You shoot someone and they stop talking bullshit.
