Moo 9 residents have been getting calls for registration for vaccination appointments. Confirmed they will be getting the AZ shot. Ages irrelevant but over 60s will be prioritized, appointments beginning on June 7 at BS Yai hospital.

Farangs can get on this list regardless of age, but they did ask for details from the pink Thai ID card that foreigners get when registering the yellow house book. However, foreigners that don't have this card can go to the clinic and register with their passport and address details:

Number: 032 817097 (Thai only)

They don't speak any English so go with a Thai or get your partner to call. I've managed to get on the waiting list now and I'm under 50 so age is not a factor though appointments will prioritize over 60s and those that are younger may have to wait a little longer.

Too good to be true it seems - appointments are already being cancelled because they don't have enough vaccines.

A very confusing issue, seems like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. They told us at registration
appointments would start to be made on June 1st.

June 7 is the date they are supposed to start. But ... it seems any surplus has been sent back to Bangkok to vaccinate them first - so there will be a long wait for us in the sticks - even longer if you're not Thai.

Vaccinating is one of the few things done efficiently in England. I had my first pFizer jab on 16 January and my second on 1 April. However this is not helping with international travel. The UK government has posted a list of 12 countries we can travel to. The list contains useless places like South Georgia. 4 of the countries have no flights.

Will be a long wait here, especially for foreigners ...
"The locally produced AstraZeneca vaccine will reportedly not be delivered in June as scheduled."

Reports of cancellation calls for those over 60 or with chronic illnesses that were scheduled for a jab this month.

What a surprise!

If you check this link, it lists names and tells you when you should report for your jab. You need to check daily because I don't think they will be telling people in any other way. It will be updated as additional vaccines become available.

I think people have got used to the idea of getting screwed around by this "government".

The public health ministry has opened a Thailand Intervac web page for the first batch of foreigners (60+ or high risk medical issues) to register for vaccination
http://www.thailandintervac.com/

It doesn’t have any vaccination sites outside greater Bangkok and Cholburi/Pattaya though.

I rang Bang Saphan and Thap Sakae hospitals and asked if they are registering foreigners yet. Bang Saphan no one available to answer the call. Thapsakae - the relevant staff are all vaccinating people so please ring back tomorrow…

Vaccinations at BS Yai hospital started yesterday (including foreigners over 60). For those that can stomach facebook, people are posting pics and reports here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/bangsaphanfans

Registration at the local clinic in Suan Luang (not the hospital) was available from May 15 (as posted here) - no need for any dodgy apps or links for Bangkok hospitals though the situation may be different for Ban Krut.

They have already called me again to confirm that I want AZ and not Sinovac and stated that it will take time because I'm under 50 and not in the priority group. But the process is finally underway in our little backwater.

The celebrations were short-lived - BS hospital ran out of shots on day two.

Back to the end of the line ...

Just got a phone call from our local health volunteer in Ban Krut saying they’re now starting manual registration of foreigners. She asked me to take my passport to her restaurant tomorrow. (She’s busy on family stuff today)
Will update tomorrow on what if anything happens next
