It is no problem posting daily numbers here as well. Just say if you'd like me to stop.

Not really necessary as we can just link to HHF, but thanks anyway.

Looks like there won't be many people going to restaurants again if this is enforced:

Restaurants accept dine-in rules
Restaurant operators say they are receptive to Public Health Ministry plans for reopening, which involve tough Covid-19 protocols including a requirement for diners to show vaccination proof.

The so-called sandbox concept for the restaurant business, to be applicable to 29 strictly-controlled dark red provinces, is expected to be proposed by the Public Health Ministry at tomorrow's meeting of the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA).

Under this scheme, all staff in a restaurant have to be 100% inoculated and all of them have to be tested with rapid antigen test kits every 5-7 days.

According to Khaosod, only 6.4 million people (roughly 9%) have had two shots so far (a much lower % in rural areas such as BS).

Wonder if my one shot a couple of days ago will let me sit in and eat. Would love to pop up to Pichai’s fir a pizza! Will be well worth the drive from BK. (Apologies if it’s not permitted to mention a business by name….)

I doubt very much it will be adhered to or enforced here in BS (where restaurants are still closed). It just seems to be another way for the police to extort money in Bangkok/Pattaya/Hua Hin etc.

From what I’ve seen in BK there isn’t much demand for sit in food anyway. Customers have been staying away or ordering deliveries/takeaways even before we went to dark red status. Seems people are being cautious

For those thinking of returning to the UK:

UK govt adds Thailand to Covid travel 'red list'
The British government on Monday will add Thailand and Montenegro to its travel "red list", with foreigners banned from travelling to England from those countries, and nationals required to quarantine.

"Thailand and Montenegro will be added to the red list from 4 am on Monday 30 August 2021," reflecting the increased coronavirus case rates in those countries, the Department for Transport said.

British and Irish nationals and those living in the United Kingdom are allowed to travel from red list countries, but must quarantine in a hotel for 10 days on arrival.

Oh how things have turned around ...

Must give praise to the professional service at BS hospital where I received my first Pfizer shot this morning via the Expatvac scheme. The entire process took just half an hour as there were only about 12 foreigners on the list for the day.

Excellent news! So it came far sooner than you feared! As a matter of interest, did they give you any kind of registration number on the vaccination confirmation / appointment slip

No registration number but there was a sticker from the Pfizer vial with a serial number on it on the appointment slip.

This maybe useful for those younguns (though there aren't many in BS) not wanting a hike to Bangkok.

The latest foreigner vax website is opening up registrations for over 40s for Bangkok Hospital in Hua Hin from Sept. 3-8 (Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and Sinovac).

Thanks! Sounds like they’ve added the sticker since I went

Let us know the procedure for getting the green vaccination certificate (which looks like this: https://www.huahinforum.com/viewtopic.p ... 61#p542361) when you go for your second jab at BS hospital.

After all, there isn't much point without that magic bit of paper!

You can, you can't, you can, you can't. Govt flip flops on restaurant rule.

Jab proof for dine-in on Oct 1
Starting Oct 1, only those who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or have a negative antigen test result will be allowed to dine-in at restaurants and seek out services deemed a high risk for virus transmission in "dark red" provinces, where maximum Covid-19 restrictions apply.

According to the Health Department's director-general, Suwannachai Wattanayingcharoenchai, the move is part of the government's push to allow businesses to reopen while the number of Covid-19 cases continues to increase.

Customers will be required to fill in a form detailing their infection risk through the government's "Thai Save Thai" app before entering premises which are considered high-risk venues, which include restaurants, barber shops and hair salons, beauty clinics and spas.

https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/ge ... n-on-oct-1

Pretty stupid considering there are still nearly 60 million people that haven't had 2 shots.

The madness continues ...

Mall shoppers may need full vaccination, negative test from next month
Shoppers may need proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test to enter many shops in malls from next month, the Department of Health announced on Monday.

Department of Health chief Suwanchai Wattanayingcharoenchai said the new “Covid-Free Setting” measure would be enforced according to the infection situation from October.

Luckily, there are no malls in BS!
