Current weather and sea conditions in Bangsaphan

Welcome to the forum konrad, usually it is sunny, a little cooler and can be quite windy - the sea can be rough and only really starts to level out in March/April.

Rained all day yesterday and most of the night - seems to have cleared up this morning. The sea has been calm and there tides are getting lower exposing a lot more of the beach.

We are planing to come down to BS in a couple of weeks, from Chiang mai ,and can tell you the rainy season started with a vengeance 2 months early. Thai weather reports are notoriously incorrect so any info posted here is very useful.

The only way to get the ocean conditions is to go and have a look down the beach!

Thanks Buksida ,never come across this before. Love most Thai weather forecast they usually say ,up my way in CM ,sunny with chance of rain,like backing a horse both ways. I presume tourist numbers are down with the low season starting. This weekend is a 4 day holiday for some I believe.

Seems to be starting the wet season weather patterns, clear and bright in the mornings and clouding over with a quick shower in the afternoons.

I think you better tell the weather patterns! It seems as though its been raining for a week, on and off non stop!!

Thank god! It's actually stopped raining! I have a river running outside my house at the moment.

Been rather wet for the last few days, this place sure gets a lot of rain when compared to two hours up the road!

Dead as a dodo in BS at the moment, we're well into the wet season now, it thrashes down every day without fail at exactly 3.15pm!

A great "bonjour" from a french family new on the forum.
We will arrive for the first time in Thailand in 8 days and spend two weeks in BS.
So we have 2 questions:
- are there jelly fish at the present time in BS ?
- what kind of weather should we expect to during a typical daytime during this period of the year ?
