A trip to support Prachuap FC
Re: A trip to support Prachuap FC
A HUGE 6 pointer this Saturday, when I make my annual pilgrimage to Sam Ao Stadium with the Dragons. It will be interesting to see how your season has been regenerated with a couple of players who couldn't regularly get into the Ratchaburi line-up. On paper, it should be an easy win for the Dragons, but Prachuap are the league's in-form team.

PT Prachuap 1 - 0 Ratchaburi Mitr Phol
3 well deserved points from Prachuap whose superior tactics locked Ratchaburi out of the game. Ratchaburi had a player sent off when VAR should have told the ref the player tripped and wasn't fouled, but that is 3 games in succession Prachuap have received a VAR gift.
The stadium improvements look a lot better, although in reality, seats have been placed where there is no room for seats. Thankfully, Covid only allows every other seat to be used. Even so, they needed a tin opener to get me from my seat at the end of the game. The new seating somehow swallowed a lot of shoes during the game, and after the match people were having to scramble under the terracing in search of their shoes. The away end still offer the worst view in football, and was not really compensated by the free ice cream on arrival and the cheapest admission prices in the league,
Can't complain at the result - Prachuap deserved it.

Me sitting in the improved Prachuap seating. Now where's that tin opener?

Hehe - yeah, they're not Big Boy sized! You've been to the stadium more times than we have over the past year or two.
On a brighter note, PFC are now out of the relegation zone:

I again tried to watch something on PPTV and again gave up due to the constant buffering, the channel is useless. It's funny how all the state propaganda channels stream perfectly though.
Re: A trip to support Prachuap FC
2 away games to go, with the teams around you having 3 games left. Away to Police Tero and Muangthong. 3 points above the drop.
This week, as well as being a vital 6 pointer, is realistically your last chance to put points on the board (obviously my opinion). So it's 3 points this Saturday, or rely upon Suphanburi messing up in their 3 remaining games. Suphanburi are of course the escape artists, having been relegated in 3 consecutive seasons, but surviving in T1 through technicalities. I don't see you getting the points at Muangthong on the last day of the season.

No, we have been very erratic this season so I wouldn't be surprised if we went down. That I'd put down to the junta preventing the fans from going to the home stadium (where we've lost a lot of games).
Re: A trip to support Prachuap FC
I personally think Suphanburi will take that 3rd relegation place, but at this point in time, it could be any one from 5 teams, of which Ratchaburi are one. It will be tight. There's a lot riding on this weekend.

Re: A trip to support Prachuap FC
By my reckoning, it will take a complete miracle to see Suphanburi survive again this season. Whilst I don't give Prachuap any chance again a rampant Muangthong who are on fire at the moment, and fighting for a Champions League place, Suphanburi have to win their remaining 2 games to go above Prachuap. Suphanburi's remaining games are against 3rd place Bangkok Utd and Champions Buriram. OK, mathematically possible, but..................
I watched Suphanburi's game against Samut Prakan yesterday. Suphanburi played as if they'd already been relegated.
It seems to have been a very long season for everybody.

This is it. Tomorrow is decision day, and it comes down to 2 matches.
Samut Prakan who are the in form team, and have come back from the dead have to win at home to Chiang Rai.
If Samut Prakan win, Prachuap will need at least a point from their game at Muangthong, who seem destined to finish 4th, and are no longer chasing 3rd, and a Champions League place. Exciting stuff, but a X rated horror if you're a Samut Prakan or Prachuap fan.
