The owner at Daeng is a miserable git, he once had a go at us when we wanted to walk through to the beach.

They're all still open. Most resorts in the area are Thai managed so they're not very responsive with email. Also many use Hotmail accounts so a lot of their incoming mail is simply blocked or rejected. You wont need to book at this time of year unless its a long weekend (Thai holiday) but for Febru...

Re: G'day

I'll be looking for a house rental with a garden for a minimum of 12 months. Am I dreaming if I'm looking to pay 6-8000bt a month? An internet connection is a must but obviously extra. Welcome to the board! BS is considerably cheaper than Hua Hin so you'll easily find a house within that price rang...

Great report, though you do seem to put a lot of the blame for your misfortunes on the trip on "the Internet". The beauty of a forum such as this one (and HHAD) is that you can ask before you go. I have had similar problems when we have taken trips south, there is too little info out there for off t...

There are a fair few balls in the ocean off Montri's now after the weekend BS-Ryder cup playoffs!

Apparently the only driving range in Bangsaphan is never open and the nearest course is a military one near Chumphon. If anyone knows any more on golf in the area please post it here!

Golf in Bang Saphan

Are there any military golf courses or driving ranges in or around Bangsaphan?

Or do we need to try and smack them over the trees and into the ocean at Montris?

Its identical software to HHAD - if I recall you had a few problems with that also due to security settings where you work?
