There's a small Tescos in Prachuap - in the UK it would be of the Tesco Express type (like a very large 7/11)

Surely it will be built in proportion to the size of the projected size and type of shopper it will attract, just as in the UK? Hi Robert, the markets are in town, so you would need a bike (not recommended at night) or car/pick up.

As for why not, well there are three small beach bars a 2/300 metres apart? nice enough bar at Sunrise, but not much company!

Thinking about it, the walk may have been a bit longer - I was told its just under 2km, but I really wasn't counting! Sunrise Resort seems lovely! Really in our taste, perhaps a bit too posh. The downside is that it's a bit off. I spent 6 weeks at Sunrise over Christmas and posh it ain't! And in the other direction is a Carrefour and Makro on the road heading into Chumphon, from the Petchkasem Road.

There is a small 'supermarket' in the town that sells some western bits and bobs, as well as some wine.
