Re: Bangsaphan Coronavirus/Covid-19 updates

I think this one was answered before our server migration .. but the French resort has been sold to a Thai who has dropped the price by 70% and now it is full with Bangkokians on long weekends. This seems to be the future for all tourism in Thailand.

Re: Bangsaphan Coronavirus/Covid-19 updates

Normality appears to have returned to Bangsaphan - everything has opened, and everywhere is empty!

Re: Bangsaphan Coronavirus/Covid-19 updates

The bars can now actually open fully, but without any tourists - and the govt banning them from travelling here, it is unlikely they will survive.

No tourists for Prachuap province ... A travel bubble plan for leisure travellers has been drafted with three phases for opening, starting with a mere 1,000 tourists per day across five provinces. Re: Bangsaphan Coronavirus/Covid-19 updates

This virus has behaved very strangely in Thailand ... here are some observations: The virus won’t go on the Skytrain, but will infect you in a car when you’re driving solo Drinking alcohol is evil as it spreads the virus ten times faster, but you’re safe washing your hands with it Getting a massage ...

Re: The end of tourism for Bangsaphan?

It does all reek of another stupid idea from another unqualified minister trying to make a name for himself. When they realise that the billionaires won't be flocking here to get ripped off in Phuket, they'll open the flood gates to the Chinese budget hordes again and turn the other way while they'r...

The end of tourism for Bangsaphan?

The government's plans to revive tourism could spell the end of it in Bangsaphan. The regime wants to target the wealthy tourists only, in limited numbers, and restrict them to the likes of Phuket and Samui where the 5* resorts are. https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/1937704/thailand-to-tu...

Re: Plastic dumping and burning.

Its a suggestion for those living next to it, didn't say I was going to do it!!!

Getting local Thais that live in that area onboard is also essential, though I think you'll struggle with that.

Re: Plastic dumping and burning.

There is one option since the land owner and authorities are not interested. Its a messy job but a look through the bags should quickly identify the culprit - load it up, and take it back to their property, dumping it back on them, and splitting the bags in the process. Make sure you're fully covere...

Re: Bangsaphan Coronavirus/Covid-19 updates

I would imagine they will allow flights from countries that are relatively free of virus infection in first, lets hope so. Thailand has been ordered by China to delist it as an infected country, so guess what, they'll be the first ones allowed back in. https://www.khaosodenglish.com/politics/2020/05...
