Koh Talu Marine Life
Coral reefs
The western side of Koh Talu island has some impressive hard coral fringing reef that starts and the shore line and drops to around 10-12 meters. Unfortunately some of the coral in the shallow areas has died due to bleaching and human impact. We urge snorkellers not to stand on the reef, it causes severe damage to the delicate coral. Below are some of the coral species found in the waters around Koh Talu:

Reef fishes
There are plenty of fish to be seen around the reefs of Koh Talu, some of them have grow accustomed to the boats and being fed, you will see large schools of sergeant major fish waiting for bread cast offs. Below are some of the fish you are likely to encounter:

You may also encounter stingrays, moray eels, and even turtles if you are scuba diving these creatures tend to be shy so you may miss them if you are in a big group.
