searching for long term stay in Ban Krut

Post by velenyfera » 01 Feb 2012 04:16

Hi to all,

I am planning to rent a small house in Ban Krut from next october 2012 for at least 4 month (can be also 5)
I found almost nothing in internet, friends told me to go directly there and search, but I prefer to get there with already a place to stay.

any suggestion, link, or houses for rent?

I would love to have one near the beach (not necessarily beach front), one bedroom is enough.
the best would be a Thai style house, kitchen is a plus, but not a must.
wi fi has to be included, as I will probably have to work from there too

so, if you have ANY information, please share :-)

thanks in advance

Deborah

Hi Deborah
Just seen your post over a year too late..... thought it was this year at first!
My wife and i have been regular visitors to Ban Krut for the last 6 years or so, things have changed a bit in that time.

Did you manage to find something suitable last year? We are always interested to know what is available for future reference although we have only stayed for 5 weeks at a stretch so far.
Recently we have stayed mostly at Sisina resort and cannot recommend this highly enough, although the staff there as lovely as they are are not too fluent in english.
We have become quite friendly with the owners as they are based in London running a thai restaurant and find it much easier to deal with them re our stays. So if you are planning to go back this year we can give you details of their e-mail etc. We are planning on going for 3 weeks this winter.

Hello Deborah,

In “Golden Sea Village” are several homes for rent. (www.goldenseavillage.com)
All these homes are privately owned so you cannot approach the office of the resort for renting.
There is a Thai lady who lives in the resort and she mediates on behalf of the owners of these houses.
I will PM you an e-mail address.

We are regular visitors to Ban Krut.
Last winter we stayed there for 4 months and we will be back next high season.

Hello bajm,

We are also regular visitors to Ban Krut.
Last year the house we rented was near one of the resorts that hosts the bus tours from Bangkok.
We were quite disappointed with the loud music and thought we would try to find a house that was a little quieter this year.
Are the Golden Sea Village homes in a quiet spot on the beach?
If yes, could we also get that email address?
What are the average monthly rates?

Thanks,
Jilli

Golden Sea village is definetely more quiet.
They don't do bus tours anymore and the neighbouring resorts are further away.

I will send you a private message with the contact details.
