Bangsaphan Restaurants

Eating out in Bangsaphan is surprisingly good. There are two good Thai food restaurants on the main beach, both serve a full range of dishes at local prices. Nothing better than sitting out on the beach on an afternoon with a cold beer and nice meal.

For western food there is also no shortage as a number of local expats have opened their own little eateries:

GK Restaurant - Only 50 meters from the beach and offering the best breakfast in Bangsaphan.

Biw Beams - Swiss/Thai food in relaxed surroundings run by Marcel and Somm. Good food at good prices and the best rosti this side of Bern. 

Why Not - Bar and restaurant right on the beach offering great food.

I-Talay - Seafood restaurant also right on the beach.

Chong's Pizza - Pasta - Cocktails - Set in a rai of beautiful gardens with a waterfall is a nice comfortable relaxed bar/restaurant with soft music in the background. Again located 3.5km from town on the coast road to Bangsaphan Noi and near the local beach resorts. Delivery service available at an extra 20 baht. [ currently closed ]

 
Chong's pizza - pasta - cocktalis

Tae Restaurant (Ray's place) - Located just 200 metres up from Bangsaphan Yai train station. This friendly restaurant offers good Thai and western food and good conversation and beer with Ray and his wife Tae.
